The High Roller is a modern chair concept created by Karim Rashid for Punkalive, a furniture store based in Finland and it certainly is a very striking design. The chair has smooth, curvy lines and is begging for attention although the High Roller is definitely not your average seating solution

They’re not real donkeys but wooden ones and they’re supposed to sustain the weight of a coffee table, or, why not, of an out-of-the-box office desk.

Jufuku means in Japanese to overlap/repeat and the Jufuku Bamboo Furniture Collection comprised of a table, stool and cabinet has been conceived by using certain shape or shapes over and over to create the final piece of bamboo furniture. The bamboo table, stool and cabinet are definitely good looking and will certainly make an impression with any visitor, not to mention they’re precisely the kind of eco-friendly furniture items you might be looking for.

The Mono Chair concept here seems, upon first inspection, to be made of just one piece of stainless steel. There are no bolts and no nuts to suggest the designer could have used various different pieces to create the Mono Chair, which makes it all the more interesting. In fact the Korean designer, Jaebeom Jeong has welded all the stainless steel parts used to build the Mono Chair and managed to come up with a product that seems to be made of just one single piece.

The seating solution below is a chair that won the 2010 Grand Prize of Designed in China: The Rado Young Design Prize and you’ll notice immediately why it caught our eye. We’re looking at a very simple design here inspired from the ancient scroll used for writing and drawing. The scroll acts now as the seating part of the chair and it’s made of stainless steel or carbon fiber and extruded PC
